It’s always an honour to be asked to help somebody to plan their own funeral in advance. It’s also very humbling. Having been a Registered Nurse for over forty years and working with people who are living with an incurable or terminal illness, I know just how hard it can be to start that conversation. People can feel awkward and afraid; it seems so final.
It might seem as though you are giving up, but talking about your wishes for the celebration of your life can be quite liberating. It also gives you control over where you want the celebration to be and how it will be accomplished; it’s on your terms.
I can support you when you chat to your loved ones about your wishes, help you to decide what you do, and don’t want included, any themes, and write your story with you. I’ll make time to get to know you, become your storyteller and work with you towards that special day.
When helping you to plan you own funeral in advance, I charge an hourly rate for my time and expertise and a set fee if you want me as your Celebrant on the day.
