Coffins and Shrouds
We support environmentally friendly coffins, shrouds and caskets made in the UK. If you’re sourcing your own there are a number of considerations, but sourcing a coffin direct from the maker can be cheaper. See FAQs Do we have to have a coffin? for more.
Wild Heart Coffins Caz and Tom Ingall make wicker coffins in Warwickshire from willow sourced from the Somerset Levels. They’ve been making beautiful coffins since 2022.
Cradle To Grave Willow Coffins are an award-winning firm who make coffins, shroud cradles and caskets for ashes. They grow about half of the willow they use. Cath learnt her craft from a Norfolk Master basket-maker in 2004.
Bellacouche Based in Devon, Yuli uses traditional skills learnt over the years to produce felt shrouds, caskets and more. She’s based in Devon and collaborates with like-minded suppliers.
Natural Burial Grounds in Norfolk
Our natural burial grounds in Norfolk are committed to sustainable strategies – check their websites. Both also use Obitus for their music, tribute and streaming services. Whilst they have plots for burial, interment of ashes and facilities to scatter ashes, they’re not crematoriums; they have partnerships for this aspect of funeral services.
Situated just off the A47 just off the Watton Road, this is an established woodland burial park with a beautiful Woodland Hall which looks out on to the trees. With the glass doors open, birdsong can be heard and the abundant wildlife complements both traditional and modern celebrations of life. The woods are especially beautiful in spring. It’s dog-friendly and anyone can have a walk in the grounds. It’s a peaceful place to just sit in contemplation too.
Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park
Find it just outside Hainford off the A140. Privately owned, Bluebell Wood celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025. It’s a mix of meadows, glades and woodland. The Cedar Hall seats 120 and has a capacity of 200 people – I can attest to that!
Norwich
Earlham Crematorium on Earlham Road in Norwich and St Faith’s in Horsford St Faiths are both owned by Dignity Funerals.
Services are 45 minutes long in an hour slot. Each of them has their own style and facilities and their facilities have been upgraded in recent years. They’re available Saturdays for services.
Norfolk
Cromer Crematorium is part of the Westerleigh Group. It’s light and airy and is open for services seven days a week and weekday evenings. Most slots are an hour long. There is a resident organist too so you don’t have to have recorded music.
Breckland Crematorium is privately owned and our newest crematorium in Norfolk. Most services are 40 minutes long and they are open for services during the week and Saturday morning.
Mintlyn Crematorium owned by the Borough Council is available for services seven days a week and Public Holidays. Do note though, the service time is just 25 minutes in a 45 minute slot.
Gorleston Crematorium (Gt. Yarmouth) Again council-owned, most services are now 45 minutes long. They use Wesley for music, tributes. And streaming.
Waveney Crematorium Technically in Suffolk, but many of our South Norfolk Funeral Directors and arrangers recommend it to clients. Service times are 40 minutes and they are open for services on Saturdays. Do note though, they impose a fee (£365 in 2025) if the service overruns impinging on the following funeral.

Trusted Partners and Professional Colleagues
Keith Riches of KR Design I’ve worked with Keith on many occasions since 2011 when four of founded Horizon Health CIC, a Nurse Practitioner-led and Government-backed healthcare service for prisons.
When I formed Moonstone Ceremonies I asked Keith to become my brand manager and he’s been fantastic at translating my vision into reality.
Matt Brasnett of I Do Photography Matt worked wonders on the original photos for Moonstone and soon I’ll be asking him to take more. Watch this space!
Katie Costello. Katie is an award-winning Soul Midwife, Celebrant and founder of ‘Dying for a Cuppa’. Like me, Katie talks about death, dying and funerals to whoever she can and wherever she is. Her Masterclasses are amazing.
Kate and Kate are also founders of The Coffin Club. There are many Coffin Clubs in the UK and anyone can attend. They help with planning your own funeral, and yes, Coffin Clubs talk a lot about death. Their motto? ¡Viva la funeral revolución!
The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. My training and professional organisation; I’m insured through them. It really is a fellowship.
The Good Funeral Guide. Handy helpful hints with ideas, resources and contacts.
